Alexa von Lindeman, M.S., D.O. Dr. von Lindeman enjoys serving the Green Valley Ranch families and looks forward to establishing lifelong doctor-patient relationships. She returned to Colorado following more than 10 years of medical school and residency in Texas and Ohio. She is well educated and trained in family medicine after receiving numerous academic awards at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and the University of North Texas Health Science Center at the Fort Worth Texas School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. von Lindeman graduated in the top of her medical school class following an extra year during which time she honed her skills in the practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Having lived many years overseas, and as the daughter of a Polish father and Uruguayan mother, and married to a Brazilian, Dr. von Lindeman is bilingual in Spanish and comfortable in providing care to individuals from different walks of life and cultures. Dr. von Lindeman trained and took part in research that focused on women’s health including pregnancy and gynecology. Dr. von Lindeman’s residency provided her with the training to treat the entire family, from newborns to the elderly, with the most up-to-date, evidence-based medicine. Dr von Lindeman enjoys that each patient is an individual with different needs and interests; she encourages an open dialogue and discussion about treatments and procedures and promotes her patients interest in their own health. As an osteopathic physician, Dr. von Lindeman integrates osteopathic principles into her practice, which include that the body is a unit, and that the person represents a combination of body, mind, and spirit; the body is capable of self-regulation, self-healing, and health maintenance; structure and function are reciprocally interrelated and that rational treatment is based on an understanding of the aforementioned principles. Her specific interest is health maintenance through the use of preventative screenings, encouragement of a vigorous, healthy and well-balanced lifestyle and nutrition. Dr. von Lindeman currently lives in Reunion with her husband, two children and four cats. Together they enjoy Colorado and its unlimited outdoor activities and frequently visit family and friends in Colorado Springs. |
